The Cardigan appears to be a small breed, but other than it's
size, there is nothing small about it! Originally the Cardigan was a
Shepherd dog, which means that it needed to be independent yet
cooperative, with high prey drive and working focus.
Luckily this has not changed much! Today (even though it does not
have this function anymore) the Cardigan is an active breed that
needs active owners. On these pages you will find a lot of
interesting articles about theCardigan to give you a better idea
of what the Cardigan represents.
